Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data visualization and dashboard solutions using Power BI to provide actionable analytics insights
• Collect, clean, and analyze data using various methods and tools, including R and Excel
• Ensure data governance and quality assurance standards are consistently met
• Conduct data validation and remediation to maintain high data integrity
• Analyze current processes and identify potential improvements for organizational efficiency
• Summarize and report on business process improvements, including identifying gaps and proposing initiatives
• Organize and lead client meetings, including drafting agendas, delivering minutes, and tracking action items
• Present information and reports to the team with clear oral and written recommendations

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DHS Public Trust clearance
• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 3 years of experience in consulting, data analytics, or project management

Preferred Qualifications

• Active DHS Public Trust or suitability
• Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI
• Proficiency in SQL and experience optimizing queries for large datasets
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, or Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience in business analysis, process improvement, or database optimization
• Law enforcement experience
