Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain infrastructure for storing and processing data, including database tables, schemas, and ETL pipelines
• Develop workflows for API-based movement of sensor data between platforms
• Ensure data adheres to customer-directed schemas, formats, and governance requirements
• Build, test, and maintain large-scale complex data processing systems
• Clean, prepare, and transform data for geospatial data pipelines
• Apply scripting tools and programming languages to build data consumption pipelines
• Support data analytics, cleansing, and analyst workflow efficiencies
• Manage data lifecycle, access controls, and metadata standards
• Conduct regular Quality Control (QC) to ensure alignment with data standards
• Support cloud computing systems and automated analytics

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI Clearance with ability to obtain CI/Poly
• 4+ years of experience with SQL or NoSQL databases and cloud architectures
• Experience leveraging APIs to query systems and migrate data
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and Java
• Experience developing and monitoring operational data pipelines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with NGA IT enterprise solutions (e.g., NGA CORE, NGA MLOps)
• Knowledge of Government Authority to Operate (ATO) processes
• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• Experience developing dynamic visualizations for data pipeline monitoring
