Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Support NLP projects focused on accurate and automatic tokenization of language data from spoken or written sources
• Develop automated solutions for annotating language data with parts of speech information
• Enhance existing models by evaluating performance against human-generated annotations for speech and text
• Translate mission needs and analytic questions into technical requirements
• Communicate complex technical information and principled conclusions to non-technical audiences

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 10 years of relevant experience or Associates degree with 12 years of relevant experience
• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related computational science field
• Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language such as Python
• Experience in machine learning, data science, or advanced analytical algorithms
• Experience in statistical analysis, data management, data mining, or software engineering
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in mathematical, computational, or statistical foundations
• Experience in data processing, curation, and visualization
• Skills in modeling, inference, and prediction
• Ability to devise strategies for extracting value from large, unstructured datasets
