Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Build, validate, and refine demand forecasting models for retail and wholesale verticals
• Engineer new features for the Snowflake Feature Store using retail and external signals
• Develop and test new model candidates against established backtesting frameworks
• Investigate forecasting errors, data drift, and structural breaks to propose remediation
• Design and execute analytical studies to answer operational business questions
• Build reusable analytical frameworks on top of curated data layers
• Translate analytical findings into clear written summaries and visualizations for stakeholders
• Collaborate on team roadmaps and learn the production data stack including Snowflake, dbt, and Dagster

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in data science, quantitative analysis, or ML engineering
• Strong Python skills (pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels)
• Strong SQL skills for complex queries and data debugging
• Experience with supervised and unsupervised ML methods (gradient boosting, time series, random forest)
• Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly in writing
• Minimum age of 21 years
• Ability to pass required background checks

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with time series forecasting (ARIMA, Prophet, LightGBM, XGBoost)
• Advanced ML techniques like Bayesian inference or Deep Learning
• Familiarity with feature store concepts or structured engineering pipelines
• Exposure to Snowflake, Snowpark, or cloud data warehouse environments
• Experience with dbt or layered data warehouse architectures
• Experience prototyping data products with Streamlit
• Background in retail, CPG, or consumer analytics
