Data Scientist (Forward Deployed)

Responsibilities

• Deploy production use cases with significant business impact and ROI
• Perform rigorous benchmarking against client baselines like XGBoost and LightGBM
• Execute data engineering, feature engineering, and validation tasks
• Collaborate with research and product teams to translate field insights into the product roadmap
• Manage technical strategy for business problem identification and last-mile integration (VPC, on-prem, air-gapped)
• Partner with Sales and Solution Architect teams to align stakeholders and explain predictions

Requirements

• PhD or Master's in CS, Math, Stats, or equivalent deep statistical literacy
• 2+ years of experience as a technical individual contributor (Data Scientist or Software Engineer)
• Experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration, and writing performant APIs (FastAPI/Flask)
• Mastery of end-to-end pipelines including framing, pre-processing, ML algorithms, and validation
• Deep understanding of data handling (PySpark, Pandas) and memory optimization
• Proven experience optimizing models for specific business problems
• Strong communication skills to translate technical nuances into business value

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PyTorch and cloud-native ML pipelines (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Previous experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Staff Engineer, or Machine Learning Engineer
• Industry-specific subject matter expertise
