About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, and act as the single point of contact for data science problems within the Maintenance domain and technology support.
- Develop and evaluate new models using Time-series modeling, NLP, and Computer Vision using Python.
- Support the development and execution of technology area strategies to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Understand maintenance workflows and develop new model features, testing plans, and enhancement requests.
- Proactively engage with Principal Engineers to implement technology within specific technical disciplines.
- Assist in developing and delivering technical training content.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, IT, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0).
- At least 3 years of experience in developing, applying, and validating data-driven tools to model complex systems.
- In-depth knowledge of statistical analysis (classification, regression, time-series, Bayesian) and machine learning (deep learning, neural networks, ensemble methods).
- Practical experience in the full machine learning lifecycle, from problem formulation to enterprise-scale deployment.
- Proficiency in Python and key libraries including NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, Keras, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
- Experience with Azure Databricks or similar data science frameworks.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in supply chain, trading, or commercial activities (pricing, demand forecasting, value chain optimization).
- Prior experience in software development or working within professional software teams.
- Strong understanding of ML Ops practices, code design, and testing.
- Ability to identify and scope data science opportunities based on specific business needs.
