Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy machine learning, NLP, and generative AI solutions to help researchers discover and apply scientific knowledge
• Build intelligent retrieval, search, recommendation, and question-answering systems
• Fine-tune and integrate large language models (LLMs) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems into production environments
• Develop AI systems that connect information across publications, datasets, citations, and knowledge graphs
• Create robust evaluation frameworks to measure model quality, reliability, and trustworthiness
• Build scalable data pipelines and machine learning workflows to support continuous experimentation and monitoring
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and domain experts to transform complex challenges into practical solutions

Requirements

• Degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
• Extensive Python programming skills with experience building production-quality solutions
• Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals, including model development and evaluation
• Experience working with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets
• Hands-on experience with modern AI technologies, including LLMs, embeddings, and generative AI
• Familiarity with frameworks such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face
