Data Scientist, Developer Productivity

Responsibilities

• Lead ambiguous, high-stakes investigations regarding developer productivity and AI-assisted development
• Define the metrics framework for developer productivity in an AI-augmented organization
• Partner with engineering leadership to set measurement and research agendas
• Design and run experiments on internal tooling and workflow changes
• Influence engineering, infrastructure, and product leadership with data-backed conclusions
• Build analytical foundations including pipelines, dashboards, and models

Requirements

• Experience writing production-quality SQL and Python
• Experience serving as a primary data or analytics voice in undefined spaces
• Track record of evidence-based decision making and revising views based on data
• Experience shaping engineering or product team roadmaps
• Genuine interest in how AI is changing software development
• Ability to present data-backed conclusions to engineering teams

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on data science experience in infrastructure, performance, or platform contexts
• Direct experience with developer productivity or internal tooling
• Experience measuring the impact of AI-assisted workflows
• Track record of building experimentation or causal-inference practices
• Prior staff-level or tech-lead experience
