Data Scientist, Commercial Analytics

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of AI/ML solutions, including scoping, modeling, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Design, develop, and deploy advanced AI/ML solutions for commercial analytics such as pricing, marketing, supply chain, and trading.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex business problems into mathematical frameworks.
• Develop GenAI applications, including chatbots, copilots, and multi-agent workflows, as well as time series and optimization models.
• Ensure production readiness by implementing MLOps practices, including CI/CD, MLflow, and cost optimization.
• Mentor peers and contribute to the building of internal AI capabilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of direct experience delivering production AI/ML solutions.
• Expertise in commercial analytics for pricing, marketing, supply chain management, or oil & gas trading.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
• Experience working with Databricks and Spark.
• Strong foundations in statistics, probability, and algorithm design.
• Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure ML or Azure OpenAI.
• Familiarity with GenAI frameworks like LangChain or Promptflow.
• Knowledge of MLOps, model governance, and explainable AI techniques (e.g., SHAP, LIME).
• Experience with knowledge graphs, hybrid search/RAG, and semantic technologies.
• Proficiency in Agile development and software engineering best practices.
