Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Analyse large, complex datasets to generate actionable insights for trading and commercial decisions.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain predictive models including time-series, regression, and tree-based methods.
• Architect and implement production-ready AI/LLM solutions, such as RAG pipelines or task-specific agents, using frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Build and automate end-to-end data workflows covering ingestion, cleaning, feature generation, and model training using Python, SQL, and Airflow.
• Collaborate with traders and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business problems into data-driven solutions.
• Communicate model outputs and analytical insights clearly to drive measurable commercial impact.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in data science or a related field with a proven track record of results.
• Strong academic background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Expertise in Python programming applied to advanced data science problems.
• Applied AI proficiency with practical experience integrating LLMs into data pipelines via APIs or frameworks.
• Proven ability to design and implement automated, end-to-end data workflows.
• Solid knowledge of machine learning algorithms and data visualization tools.
• Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the power trading domain.
