Data Scientist Co-op

Responsibilities

• Extract knowledge and insights from high-volume, high-dimensional datasets to solve complex business problems
• Develop and code software programs, algorithms, and automated processes to cleanse and integrate large datasets
• Use statistical methods and machine learning techniques to create predictive models and identify trends
• Build customer-centric models and optimization tools using structured and unstructured data
• Create deliverables and presentations to report analysis methodologies and results to stakeholders
• Collaborate with product and service teams to identify key questions for data analysis and experimentation

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from Drexel University with a cooperative learning track
• Available for a 6-month full-time co-op term (September 22, 2026 – March 26, 2027)
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and ML programming frameworks
• Proficiency in retrieving data using SQL
• Strong understanding of statistical foundations, predictive modeling, and experimentation
• Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship needs
• Ability to report in-person to the Philadelphia, PA office

Preferred Qualifications

• Pursuing a major in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Econometrics
• Understanding of data visualization concepts and programming frameworks
• Ability to articulate complex technical ideas in a simplified form
