About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end ML use cases from the ground up, scoping solutions that optimize for business value and modern marketing journeys.
  • Build and own full ML pipelines, managing data transformation, model training, and activation to power 1-to-1 personalization.
  • Drive customer success by providing technical guidance to ensure model performance and successful adoption.
  • Extend product capabilities by developing features and tools that scale AI deployment across engagements.
  • Partner with the Product team to refine reinforcement learning algorithms and advance platform self-learning capabilities.
  • Shape the BrazeAI product strategy and roadmap using customer-facing insights and technical expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer working with large-scale data and production environments.
  • Proficiency in Python (Pandas) and core ML libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras, scikit-learn, CatBoost, or XGBoost.
  • Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating complex datasets.
  • Proven experience with machine learning pipelines and model deployment.
  • Solid software engineering practices, including Git, CI/CD, testing frameworks, and writing modular, documented code.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD in a relevant technical discipline.
  • Experience in customer-facing or consulting roles.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Airflow, Kubernetes, Terraform, or GCP.
  • Experience with data integration, ETL, pipeline optimization, or reinforcement learning algorithms.
