Data Scientist 2

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks associated with Big Data Platform management
• Utilize programming languages to develop prototype algorithms and refinements
• Support data visualization and analytics
• Devise strategies for extracting meaning and value from large datasets
• Develop and implement qualitative and quantitative methods for characterizing and assessing large datasets
• Translate mission needs and analytic questions into technical requirements
• Communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of relevant experience OR Associates degree with 5 years of relevant experience
• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Science, Computer Science, or related physical/hard sciences with substantial computational coursework
• Experience in machine learning, data science, or advanced analytical algorithms
• Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language such as Python
• Experience in statistical analysis, data management, data mining, or software engineering
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong foundations in mathematical, computational, and statistical modeling
• Experience in data processing, curation, and visualization
• Expertise in modeling, inference, and prediction
• Ability to make principled conclusions from data using mathematics and computer science
