Data Science/Applied AI Lead

Responsibilities

• Identify and shape high-value data science and AI opportunities by translating business questions into analytical problem statements.
• Design, build, and refine analytical solutions using predictive modeling, machine learning, NLP, and generative AI.
• Develop data pipelines, model prototypes, prompt configurations, and reusable code assets.
• Define and execute evaluation plans for model performance, stability, and responsible AI requirements (e.g., groundedness and faithfulness).
• Partner with risk, compliance, and technology stakeholders to ensure solutions are developed with appropriate controls and monitoring.
• Contribute to the development of reusable design patterns and enterprise AI capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in data management, IT, financial services, or related fields with leadership in AI/advanced analytics delivery, OR High School Diploma/GED and 10 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Python and SQL.
• Experience with AWS and Snowflake.
• Strong knowledge of statistical modeling and machine learning.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience productionizing AI solutions within a regulated enterprise environment.
• Practical experience with AWS Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker.
• Experience with Snowflake Cortex AI or similar enterprise AI services.
• Familiarity with agentic AI patterns and orchestration frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Expertise in defining evaluation strategies for GenAI, including hallucination risk and retrieval quality.
