Data Science & Strategic Communications SETA

Responsibilities

• Apply analytical methods to complex problems involving messaging, influence, and U.S. foreign policy for national security
• Support the development and management of new programs by evaluating technical concepts and assessing scientific merit
• Synthesize insights across interdisciplinary domains to support data-driven decision-making
• Communicate complex scientific ideas to diverse audiences through technical writing and coordination

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field
• 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or quantitative research roles
• Strong foundation in statistics, causal modeling, or other core quantitative methods
• Active TS/SCI clearance is required
• Strong technical writing, organizational, and coordination skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a relevant field
• Experience supporting R&D organizations
• Familiarity with U.S. foreign policy, strategic communications, or messaging campaigns
• Background in computational social science, behavioral economics, sociology, or communication theory
• Experience applying data science methods to influence, messaging, or behavioral analysis
