Data Science Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of data scientists focused on experimentation and causal inference, providing technical direction and mentorship.
• Drive innovation in experimentation research by developing new methodologies and frameworks to improve scalability and quality.
• Guide the advancement of experimentation infrastructure and tooling using statistical and machine learning methods.
• Partner with product managers, game studios, and business leaders to identify high-impact experimentation opportunities.
• Act as a thought leader by evangelizing best practices in causal inference and experimentation across the organization.
• Contribute to the research and prototyping of novel techniques to address complex real-world data constraints.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in Applied Math, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).
• 6+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on experimentation.
• 2+ years of experience in a formal people management or technical leadership role.
• Proficiency in SQL and statistical programming languages such as R or Python.
• Expertise in causal inference techniques and designing both randomized and quasi-experiments.
• Experience with modern data engineering and visualization tools like Airflow, Git, Tableau, or MicroStrategy.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
