Data Science Analytics Director

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary strategic partner and interface for P&C Insurance clients in Australia, developing executive-level relationships.
• Lead consultative engagements to identify client pain points and co-create data-driven solutions for the insurance value chain.
• Own end-to-end delivery of data and analytics programs, including scoping, planning, execution, and governance.
• Translate complex business challenges into actionable analytics solutions using AI/ML, reporting, and data engineering.
• Collaborate with global WNS Analytics COEs, GenAI, and Data Engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide thought leadership on analytics-led transformation within the Property & Casualty domain.

Requirements

• 14+ years of experience in Data Science and Analytics.
• 5+ years of deep domain expertise in P&C Insurance (e.g., Motor, Home, Workers Compensation, Commercial, or CTP).
• 5+ years in client-facing, consultative, or delivery leadership roles within the insurance sector.
• Proven track record of delivering AI/ML solutions for insurance claims, policy management, or broker performance.
• Technical proficiency in Python, SQL, Databricks, and the AWS suite.
• Strong ability to manage senior stakeholders and drive agile delivery practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Generative AI, Agentic AI, or Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Project Management certifications such as PMP, Agile, or Scrum.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Business, or a related field.
