Data Science Analytics Associate Director/Director

Responsibilities

• Act as a strategic partner and primary interface for P&C Insurance clients in Australia, developing executive-level relationships.
• Lead consultative engagements to identify client pain points and co-create data-driven solutions for use cases like claims and policy management.
• Own end-to-end delivery of data and analytics programs, including scoping, planning, execution, and governance.
• Translate complex business challenges into actionable analytics solutions using AI/ML, reporting, and data engineering.
• Collaborate with global WNS Analytics COEs, GenAI, and Data Engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide thought leadership on analytics-led transformation within the Property & Casualty insurance domain.

Requirements

• 14+ years of experience in Data Science & Analytics.
• 5+ years of specialized experience in the P&C Insurance domain (Motor, Home, Workers Compensation, Commercial, or CTP).
• 5+ years in client-facing and delivery leadership roles.
• Proven track record of delivering AI/ML solutions for insurance claims, policy management, or broker performance.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Tableau.
• Working knowledge of AWS and Databricks.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Data Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GenAI, Agentic AI, or Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Proficiency in Agile or Scrum project management methodologies.
• Experience implementing Self-Service BI within the insurance sector.
• Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP).
