About the role

Responsibilities

  • Act as the SPT Lead in reporting NARM performance both internally and externally during regulatory price controls.
  • Provide expert support in the modelling of network risk ahead of regulatory price controls.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of regulatory close-out reports, including network risk, delivery justification, and financial metrics.
  • Ensure long-term asset stewardship and network development to maximize outperformance opportunities from regulatory settlement.
  • Develop and manage business cases to justify changes to the Non-load investment plan, including Cost Benefit Analysis and investment justification.
  • Lead engagement with internal stakeholders and key industry bodies regarding technical network risk management and asset information quality.

Requirements

  • Degree level education, preferably in an engineering subject.
  • Knowledge of transmission networks or other regulated industries and their complex technical challenges.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and the obligations of a regulated business.
  • Experience setting and communicating large-scale financial plans (approximately £80m p.a.).
  • Strong commercial understanding of value and risk within a business context.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate at a senior level across a business and the wider industry.
