About the role

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between business units and the Data & Records Management (DRM) function to implement governance frameworks.
  • Provide guidance on records classification, retention, storage, retrieval, and disposal.
  • Monitor local data quality and records metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Drive Critical Data Element (CDE) identification and build end-to-end data lineages from source systems to output reports.
  • Manage Data Quality (DQ) issues through active tracking, remediation, and mapping for respective CDEs.
  • Ensure compliance with Group Data & Record Management Standards (GDMS) and Risk Reporting Standards (RRS).
  • Lead engagement with the Chief Data Office and Technology partners to support tactical and strategic solutions.
  • Identify automation opportunities and drive a culture of continuous improvement within the domain.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Data Management and Data Governance, including records management.
  • Strong understanding of Data Lineage, Metadata Management, and Data Quality controls.
  • Practical exposure to the application of BCBS 239 principles and related frameworks.
  • Experience working within a financial services organization.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence decision-making across geographies and cultures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop strategic solutions within a risk and control environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in any discipline.
  • Experience in managing complex assignments and guiding team members through structured projects.
  • Comprehensive understanding of enterprise risk management and operational risk frameworks.
