Data Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute data quality and validation tests for Microsoft Fabric Data Warehouse objects
• Validate ETL/ELT pipelines, including Fabric Dataflows and integrated source systems
• Test and monitor event-driven data processes using Azure Service Bus
• Validate Azure Logic Apps workflows and integrations
• Perform end-to-end testing of data ingestion, transformations, and delivery to BI systems
• Develop and maintain automated data quality checks, reconciliation scripts, and test frameworks
• Identify, analyze, and report data quality issues and perform root cause analysis
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and BI teams to define quality rules and metrics
• Document test cases, workflows, and testing outcomes
• Validate API endpoints and integration workflows using Postman

Requirements

• Strong experience in data quality testing for data warehouses
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, Pipelines, Dataflows)
• Proficiency in SQL and ETL/ELT pipeline validation
• Experience with Azure Service Bus and Azure Logic Apps
• Experience with automation and scripting using Python, PySpark, or PowerShell
• Understanding of data modeling (star schema, snowflake, fact and dimension tables)
• Familiarity with testing tools such as dbt, Great Expectations, tSQLt, pytest, or Postman
• Excellent English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data quality frameworks like Great Expectations
• Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and OneLake
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data platforms
• Understanding of data governance and metadata management
• Knowledge of French
