Data Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and build robust data-testing frameworks using Python and SQL
• Perform deep-dive backend data profiling and automated API validation (XML, JSON, GraphQL)
• Build and manage scalable testing environments using Docker and Kubernetes
• Develop internal tool UIs, such as Streamlit, to enhance framework usability
• Translate quality findings into actionable insights using visualization tools like Power BI
• Partner with Development and Business teams to define testing roadmaps and assess risk

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 4 to 6 years of experience in data-driven QA, Data Quality, or a Data Analyst role
• Strong, hands-on expertise in Python (data wrangling and analytical programming) and SQL
• Knowledge of API validation including XML, JSON, and GraphQL
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify patterns and trends in raw datasets
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with global stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Finance, Corporate Governance, or ESG data
• Experience with applied AI for QA, including LLMs or agentic workflows (LangChain, GitHub Copilot)
• Proficiency with low-code/no-code analytics libraries like Great Expectations, Pandera, or KNIME
• Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
