About the role
Responsibilities
- Write tools to classify, onboard, and reconcile data using a modern Python data stack
- Parse, analyze, and perform quality checks on large datasets
- Identify and develop new processes to enrich data and assist researchers in featurizing data
- Debug anomalies in derived datasets and trace issues back to their source
- Provide proactive oversight of the data pipeline and resolve production issues
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a data engineering/science role or a relevant degree
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Experience with SQL dialects (e.g., PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MySQL)
- Proficiency with the Linux command line
- Ability to provide technical support in a production trading environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing ETL pipelines
- Experience with financial datasets such as Refinitiv, S&P, or Bloomberg
