About the role
Responsibilities
- Advise on data protection and privacy compliance, including GDPR, UK GDPR, ePrivacy, and international data transfers
- Draft, review, and negotiate DPAs, vendor contracts, technology agreements, and data-sharing terms
- Lead privacy deliverables such as DPIAs, LIAs, DSARs, data mapping, privacy notices, and records of processing
- Support privacy frameworks, governance programmes, vendor risk processes, and compliance controls
Requirements
- Qualified UK lawyer or equivalent jurisdiction, or experienced privacy professional
- Strong knowledge of GDPR, UK GDPR, ePrivacy, and related privacy regulations
- Experience in private practice, in-house, consulting, or privacy advisory roles
- Understanding of data lifecycle, privacy risk management, and commercial privacy issues
- Ability to deliver clear, pragmatic, business-focused advice
