Data Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data pipelines and models using Microsoft Fabric and OneLake
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners and Azure Solution Architects
• Enable modern data architecture patterns such as Lakehouse and near real-time streaming
• Maintain and automate scalable data pipelines with an emphasis on performance and metadata consistency
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitLab Pipelines
• Monitor and optimize platform performance using observability tools
• Lead and manage a team of data engineers to ensure technical excellence

Requirements

• Proficiency with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric
• Experience with OneLake and Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Expertise in data pipelines and data modeling
• Knowledge of CI/CD and Azure DevOps or GitLab Pipelines
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code
• Understanding of columnar formats like Parquet and serialization formats like Protobuf
