Data Platform Architect

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor and thought leader for strategic customers
• Serve as a technical authority to advise on complex technical issues
• Triage customer requirements and assemble expert teams for delivery
• Engage with senior stakeholders to steer data platform strategy
• Lead data delivery project work
• Support technical presales engagements
• Document enterprise data architectural designs

Requirements

• Experience delivering complex data and AI solutions
• Understanding of data platform methodologies (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault, Data Mesh, Lakehouse, etc.)
• Ability to document conceptual, logical, and physical architectural models
• Deep technical experience in Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or Azure Synapse Analytics
• Proficiency in Public Cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS)
• Expertise in at least three areas: Data Engineering, Data Modelling, Data Strategy, Data Visualisation, Data Science/AI, or DevOps
• Experience in agile, fast-moving environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with TOGAF, DAMA, or similar architectural frameworks
• Experience with data management tools like Purview, Collibra, or Informatica
• Databricks Certified Associate or Professional
• Microsoft Azure Certifications in Data Engineering, AI, or Solution Architecture
