Data Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support and modernize data infrastructure to ensure platforms are performant, resilient, and secure
• Collaborate with Data, Engineering, and Cyber teams to align operational goals
• Drive operational excellence across Snowflake, Dagster, and Qlik platforms
• Challenge existing processes and suggest improvements to data workflows

Requirements

• Foundational understanding of data pipelines, ingestion, transformation, and storage
• Exposure to big data concepts such as data warehouses, data lakes, or streaming data
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) in an operational context
• Proficiency in scripting for automation using Bash, Python, or PowerShell
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability concepts
• Strong collaboration skills for working across global time zones

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Spark, Kafka, Databricks, or Hadoop
• Working knowledge of Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouses
• Awareness of data orchestration tools like Dagster or Airflow
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform or Bicep
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git/GitHub
• Understanding of RBAC and identity management
