Data Modeler - Senior

Responsibilities

• Design, review, and maintain complex data models to support enterprise-grade solution implementations
• Define and employ data modeling standards, tools, best practices, and development methodologies
• Perform data analysis activities to capture requirements and represent them through data model visualizations
• Manage the full data model life cycle from initial requirements through design, implementation, and maintenance
• Collaborate closely with data engineers to create optimal physical data models of datasets
• Identify opportunities where data can be leveraged to improve business activities and processes

Requirements

• 3-7 years of relevant industry experience
• 3+ years of dedicated data modeling experience
• Proficiency in data modeling tools such as Erwin Data Modeler, ER studio, or Toad
• Strong knowledge of SQL and data warehouse concepts
• Basic ETL skills, including experience with data translation, mapping, and transformation
• Computer science degree or equivalent educational background
• Experience working within an Agile delivery methodology

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Data Quality (DQ) and data profiling techniques and tools
• Data visualization skills
• Experience in enterprise-grade solution implementations considering security, performance, and scalability
