Data Modeler

Responsibilities

• Identify and define requirements for canonical data models and consumption use cases
• Perform data profiling analysis using SQL and data integrity principles
• Build conceptual and logical data models aligned with enterprise architecture and industry standards
• Follow best practices including schema evolution, lossless data modeling, and metadata management
• Use enterprise tools like Erwin, ER/Studio, or DBT to maintain models
• Ensure models support analytical and operational use cases such as data science and claims management
• Maintain metadata, business glossaries, and entity relationship diagrams to support data lineage
• Partner with Product and Business Analyst teams to assess data model impact

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in data modeling and enterprise data architecture
• Expertise in enterprise data modeling tools (Erwin, ER/Studio, or DBSchema)
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, and data lakehouse architectures
• Deep understanding of healthcare data domains (Claims, Membership, Provider, Pharmacy, etc.)
• Knowledge of clinical interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, ADT, CCDA)
• Strong background in SQL and data profiling
• Experience with schema evolution and data versioning strategies

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare reporting experience
• Experience with OBT and metadata management frameworks
• Familiarity with BI and reporting solutions on cloud data warehouses
• Knowledge of APIs, SDKs, and data distribution frameworks
• Experience with data governance and regulatory compliance in healthcare
• NoSQL data model experience
