Data Migration Test Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead data migration testing for a large-scale transformation program for a major Canadian bank
• Own the end-to-end Data Migration Test Strategy in alignment with the overall program testing strategy
• Define migration test scope, phases, entry/exit criteria, and risk-based prioritization
• Partner with migration, architecture, and platform teams to validate data mappings, transformation rules, and load logic
• Oversee testing across end-to-end migration and functional testing of migrated data for dress rehearsals and cutover events
• Manage reconciliation, validation, and data integrity testing for balances, positions, transactions, and regulatory outputs
• Lead data-related defect management, root-cause analysis, and retest coordination
• Ensure traceability, auditability, and evidence suitable for regulators and external auditors
• Provide status updates, risks, and metrics to senior leadership and client stakeholders

Requirements

• Strong background in Financial Services (Canadian wealth/banking experience preferred)
• Extensive experience in client-facing test delivery and engagement roles
• Strong understanding of ETL processes and tooling (Extract, Transform, Load)
• Extensive experience working in fast-paced Agile environments
• Proficiency with JIRA, XRAY, and Confluence
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience delivering services using near-shore and offshore teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• ISTQB Advanced Test Manager Certification
• Experience with general investment, wealth, life, and/or pensions products
• Strong understanding of the regulatory environment in which FNZ operates
