Data Migration Developer

Responsibilities

• Analyze and map data structures between source systems and target solutions
• Design, develop, and optimize migration scripts and programs using Java
• Model and manipulate SQL and/or NoSQL databases for migration purposes
• Perform rigorous validation, quality, and integrity testing on migrated data
• Identify and resolve data anomalies and inconsistencies
• Document technical processes, decisions, and implemented solutions
• Collaborate with the Senior Migration Lead and communicate progress to stakeholders
• Provide technical support during deployment and production phases

Requirements

• Master's degree (Bac+5) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Proven experience in data development and migration
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming, specifically with Java
• Strong skills in relational (SQL) and/or NoSQL databases
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools
• Experience with version control tools such as Git
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies
• Experience managing migrations between third-party vendor software and internal solutions
