About the role
Responsibilities
- Define and implement data strategy and execution roadmaps aligned with business and AI ambitions
- Design data governance operating models, including decision rights, roles, and KPIs based on DAMA-DMBOK principles
- Establish frameworks for metadata, lineage, data quality, cataloging, and master data
- Support clients in defining workflows for data quality management, monitoring, and remediation
- Drive compliance and risk management initiatives related to GDPR and the EU AI Act
- Advise on modern governance approaches such as data mesh and domain-oriented data products
- Support pre-sales activities including proposals, client workshops, and maturity assessments
Requirements
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or data strategy
- Experience designing collaboration models and roles between Business and IT functions
- Strong understanding of data quality, metadata, lineage, and privacy/security-by-design
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks including GDPR and the EU AI Act
- Fluency in both Portuguese and English
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts for executive stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CDMP or privacy-related credentials
- Hands-on experience with data governance tools for cataloging and lineage
- Experience leading operating model transformations
