Data Management Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage the data transfer specification (DTS) process to meet customer-specific reporting requirements
• Provide administrative support for the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), including maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting
• Act as the primary point of contact for LIMS vendors and clients requiring Data Transfer Services
• Develop customized DTS report formats and custom data reports for clients
• Maintain security and integrity controls by implementing policies and monitoring transaction activity
• Provide training and guidance to users on effective LIMS application utilization
• Support automation initiatives and process improvements to bridge gaps in manual laboratory processes

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM field (Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology, etc.)
• Minimum of one year of data management experience in a regulated environment
• Knowledge of LIMS administration
• Ability to manage and manipulate large data sets
• Strong project management skills for executing multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience implementing and testing LIMS
• Experience creating and manipulating Excel databases
• Knowledge of coding using VB Script or JavaScript
