Data Management Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise Data Governance frameworks, including policies and controls for Data Quality, Metadata, Master Data, and AI Governance.
• Manage and monitor Data Quality and Metadata by establishing KPIs, maintaining the Enterprise Data Catalog, and documenting data lineage.
• Govern Master and Reference Data by standardizing definitions and ensuring consistency across enterprise systems.
• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and data visualizations to support business intelligence and decision-making.
• Implement AI Governance policies to assess risks and ensure the ethical and compliant use of AI solutions.
• Collaborate with IT, Cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to resolve governance issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Support NDMO and National Data Index (NDI) compliance initiatives through regular reporting and maturity assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in Data Management or Data Governance.
• Demonstrated experience implementing NDMO controls or similar enterprise frameworks.
• Proficiency in Power BI and experience with enterprise Data Governance platforms (e.g., Informatica, Collibra, or Alation).
• Strong knowledge of Metadata management, Data Quality, and Master Data Management (MDM).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Professional certifications such as CDMP, DGSP, or Microsoft Power BI Certification.
• Experience with AI Governance and AI Ethics certifications.
• Proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts.
