About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud-based data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery to support BI and analytics.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes and integration workflows to ingest and transform data from various sources.
  • Participate in CI/CD pipeline development and deployment for data pipelines and analytics models.
  • Apply automated regression testing and follow SDLC processes for cloud-based projects.
  • Assist in implementing change management, release management, and data compliance practices (e.g., SOX).
  • Develop and optimize data models and explores within the Looker platform.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience with SQL/PL SQL, Stored Procedures, BigQuery, and data pipeline development.
  • 2–3 years of experience in cloud-based data engineering with a focus on GCP.
  • Experience with version control tools such as Git or Bitbucket and familiarity with CI/CD concepts.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or Looker Studio.
  • Experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., Dataflow) and building datasets for analytics.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • GCP certifications (Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Data Engineer).
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Snowflake, Postgres SQL, Azure, or AWS.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
