Data Loss Prevention Technical Specialist

Responsibilities

• Define security requirements through threat, risk, and gap analysis in response to regulatory requirements and insider risk threats
• Build, test, tune, and implement DLP policies across email, web, cloud, endpoint, and DAR
• Work with DLP and Security Operations Analysts to reduce false positives through policy fine-tuning
• Create and maintain Policy Development Playbooks and Process Guides
• Maintain metrics highlighting current security gaps and monitoring improvements
• Investigate DLP alerts and provide support during cyber security incidents
• Adhere to internal change control policies

Requirements

• Experience implementing and tuning rules using DLP tooling, preferably with Proofpoint DLP
• Understanding of insider threat and User Behavior Analytics (UBA)
• Knowledge of DLP technologies, email gateways, and cloud proxies
• Experience with security monitoring technologies including SIEM and EDR solutions
• Understanding of modern cloud architecture
• Knowledge of data protection regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS
• Knowledge of data classification, masking, and encryption methods
• Experience working within a SOC, DLP, or Security Engineering team
• Understanding of the cyber threat landscape within the Financial Services sector
