Data & Intelligence Discovery Lead

Responsibilities

• Conduct a structured audit of all existing data assets, including source, format, quality, and accessibility
• Map all current instances of AI, machine learning, or algorithmic decision-making across the business
• Perform gap analysis between current capabilities and the future AI platform ambition
• Conduct structured stakeholder interviews across Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams to identify needs and frustrations
• Synthesize findings into a comprehensive baseline report and strategic recommendations for the permanent Head of Data & Intelligence
• Create foundational documentation and frameworks to ensure a seamless handover

Requirements

• Analytically strong with the ability to form reasoned conclusions from incomplete information
• Investigative mindset with a natural curiosity to look beyond surface-level answers
• Strong stakeholder interviewing and active listening skills
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and creating structure from messy starting points
• Understanding of how AI/ML capabilities function within a product context
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both specialist and non-specialist audiences
• Right to work and live in the UK
• Ability to work in a hybrid model, commuting to Milton Park or London 3 days per week
