Data Integration Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust and scalable integration pipelines using Kafka, Fivetran, Snowflake, Airflow, Starburst and dbt
• Lead implementation and maintenance of data platform solutions ensuring integrity, performance, and security
• Trace logs, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, and resolve mission-critical system downtime
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to deliver high-quality solutions
• Evaluate and implement standard practices for data ingestion, ETL processes, and data quality frameworks
• Optimize and tune data processing workflows and SQL queries
• Contribute to ad hoc projects by structuring integrations and conducting analyses

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering and building data infrastructure
• Expertise in Snowflake, Airflow, Starburst, and dbt
• Proficiency in SQL and query optimization
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Strong programming skills in Python or other scripting languages
• Experience in database maintenance, schema design, and relational modeling

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with streaming data processing frameworks like Apache Kafka or Apache Flink
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks like Spark or Hadoop
• Experience with data governance, security, and compliance practices
• Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines
