Data Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Vertica analytics database clusters including topology and performance tuning
• Administer SQL Server Enterprise on virtualized Windows infrastructure using Always On Availability Groups
• Write PowerShell and Python scripts to automate server deployments, patching, and monitoring
• Build and optimize ETL pipelines across Vertica, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and flat-file sources
• Administer and tune PostgreSQL instances on Linux
• Manage hypervisor platforms including VMware vSphere/ESXi provisioning and resource tuning
• Develop infrastructure-as-code, runbooks, and monitoring dashboards

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in database or systems infrastructure engineering
• Hands-on expertise in Nutanix, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL administration
• Proficiency in PowerShell and Python scripting
• Experience designing and maintaining ETL pipelines across heterogeneous sources
• Strong knowledge of Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Server 2019 administration
• Experience with hypervisor administration (VMware vSphere/ESXi)
• Solid understanding of storage concepts including NAS/SAN and IOPS planning
