Data Governance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Deliver and maintain a prioritized governance product roadmap that aligns data standards and AI use cases with business objectives.
• Define data and integration specifications, working with APIs and data models to ensure accuracy, interoperability, and traceability.
• Lead agile processes including planning, refinement, reviews, and demos to ensure measurable outcomes.
• Act as a release steward by owning go/no-go decisions and validating releases against security and performance requirements.
• Enforce non-functional requirements related to quality, compliance, ethics, and responsible AI principles.
• Establish metrics for data quality and operational health to drive continuous improvement and experimentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Data, or Computer Science.
• 7+ years of experience in Operations or manufacturing data environments.
• 3+ years of experience in product ownership, technical delivery, or a data science role.
• Proven track record of managing the full lifecycle of intelligent automation and machine learning solutions.
• Deep understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and lifecycle controls.
• Technical proficiency in machine learning algorithms, LLMs, Generative AI, and automation frameworks (RPA).
• Strong ability to translate complex business needs into technical requirements and actionable user stories.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data cataloging, lineage tools, and master data management practices.
• Background in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environments (GxP familiarity).
• Knowledge of privacy regulations and model risk management for AI/ML.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and modern data engineering patterns.
• Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
