Data Governance Chief Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead development and enhancement of Government-Wide data governance frameworks, policies, and standards
• Define, measure, and enforce compliance with government data policies through monitoring and audits
• Drive development and governance of data performance indices to assess data quality and management
• Manage the end-to-end KPI measurement cycle including collection, validation, and scoring
• Maintain and govern the Government Wide data information model and enterprise data architecture
• Govern the central data catalogue, metadata, and reference data to resolve cross-entity inconsistencies
• Promote cross-entity data sharing and drive adoption of data sharing platforms
• Operationalize governance bodies such as Data Committees and Working Groups
• Provide strategic oversight on data-related risks and integrate with enterprise risk management
• Engage senior stakeholders to align governance with strategic transformation initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Business Administration, IT, or related field
• 20+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or information architecture
• Expertise in policy design, data modelling, and enterprise data architecture
• Proven experience implementing data policies in complex, multi-entity environments
• Experience establishing national-level data governance functions
• Strong knowledge of DAMA and global data management frameworks
• Experience engaging senior stakeholders and leading cross-entity initiatives
