Data Governance Architect

Responsibilities

• Define and implement enterprise data governance frameworks to ensure data is trusted, secure, compliant, and fit for business use
• Bridge the gap between business and technology by establishing data standards, policies, and architectural patterns
• Embed governance into data platforms and delivery initiatives
• Partner with data owners, stewards, and engineering teams to improve data quality, interoperability, and regulatory compliance
• Translate vague or unclear business expectations into concrete concepts and requirements
• Align disparate stakeholder groups toward a common framework by demonstrating value

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data governance frameworks, data architecture, or enterprise data management
• Proven experience in the retail apparel business, specifically regarding the customer journey
• Bachelor's degree in Arts or Science
• Proficiency in Business Analysis, Technical Solution Design, and Software Engineering Leadership
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and facilitation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Retail Supply Chain or Product Development lifecycles
• Knowledge of data governance tools such as Atlan or Alation
• Experience with Google Cloud, Data Modeling, Wireframing, or workflow development
• Experience in Change Management
