Data Engineering Professional II

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable and contextualized IT/OT data models including Asset, Process, and Procedural models
• Ensure alignment with industry standards such as ISA-88 and ISA-95
• Contribute to scalable IT/OT architecture and integration standards for shopfloor systems like Automation Systems, Historian solutions, and MES
• Enable shop-floor data analytics, including process trending, modeling, and predictive analytics in a GxP environment
• Drive identification and resolution of technical issues and escalate appropriately
• Follow company policies and ensure documentation adheres to Takeda Quality Management Systems (QMS) and SDLC standards
• Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models for enhanced business intelligence and dashboards

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a Technical/Natural Science with a focus on IT or Automation
• In-depth knowledge of IT/OT systems in manufacturing environments, specifically Historian systems
• Ability to understand and model complex data flows between IT systems
• Strong knowledge of ISA-88 and ISA-95 standards
• Basic understanding of batch-based manufacturing processes
• Understanding of Agile/SCRUM methodologies
• Understanding of good engineering practices including DevSecOps and source-code versioning
• Fluency in English and excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field
• Experience with IT/OT systems such as Aveva PI, Aspentech Inmation, Körber PAS-X, PCS7, or Delta V
• Understanding of cloud technologies, modern database technologies, and data lakes
• Experience with AWS (S3, EC2, Terraform)
• Experience in Computer Systems Validation (GAMP)
• Experience working in regulated industries, particularly pharmaceuticals
