Data Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of a reliable, real-time liquidity observability stack and core business functions.
• Set the technical strategy for the Treasury Global Liquidity team to ensure scalable and robust systems.
• Design and implement advanced monitoring systems to optimize financial resource management.
• Engineer sophisticated control mechanisms to manage liquidity utilization and high-value transaction processing.
• Develop automated systems for investment of surplus cash and collaborate with data scientists on machine learning forecasting models.
• Mentor and lead a high-performing team of engineers, promoting high engineering standards and maintainable code.
• Partner with Product Managers, Analysts, and Finance stakeholders to define roadmaps and deliver impactful solutions.

Requirements

• Strong background in software engineering with experience designing and operating complex event-driven systems in production.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring engineers across diverse domains and levels.
• Experience working within high-stakes domains such as treasury, payments, or finance.
• Ability to navigate complex trade-offs between financial cost, operational risk, and customer experience.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong sense of ownership and experience working closely with product stakeholders to prioritize impactful work.
