Data Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Serve as a "player/coach" to lead and supervise a team of Portfolio Data Engineers in Poland
• Drive the technical direction for the portfolio data engineering team in alignment with global engineering communities
• Build, manage, and mentor a team of exceptional engineers
• Partner with multi-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable data solutions
• Lead the development of pipelines for the ingestion, analysis, and enrichment of financial data
• Advocate for standard methodologies and identify opportunities for automation and optimization to increase data throughput and accuracy
• Develop and maintain efficient process controls and metrics to improve data quality and operational efficiency

Requirements

• Proven experience leading data engineering teams
• Several years of professional experience as an individual contributor in data engineering
• A computer science degree or equivalent professional experience
• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (PySpark, Python, or Java)
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL
• Hands-on experience building and managing data pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of financial concepts (e.g., stocks, bonds, etc.)
• A passion for FinTech and solving complex problems within investment management
