Data Engineering Director

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Data Engineers to design and build resilient, scalable, and high-performance data pipelines for batch and real-time streaming workloads
• Champion Agentic AI adoption across workflows, including text-to-SQL agents, automated data quality remediation, and self-healing pipelines
• Define best practices, guardrails, and evaluation frameworks for safely deploying AI agents in the data lifecycle
• Architect and implement robust Data Warehouse and Data Mart solutions using dimensional modeling techniques like star and snowflake schemas
• Design, build, and maintain cloud-based data infrastructure using modern architectural principles
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable data solutions

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Data Mart related fields
• Practical experience building both offline and real-time Data Warehouses
• Strong understanding of Data Warehouse Modeling theory and real-world business scenario support
• Familiarity with Agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or AutoGen
• Experience building AI-powered data tools, including NL query interfaces or intelligent data observability
• Hands-on experience applying Agentic AI to data engineering tasks like automated metadata management or LLM-powered remediation

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with big data architectures such as Alicloud DataWorks/MaxCompute, AWS Spark, Databricks, or StarRocks/Doris
• Experience in the R&D of real-time big data systems
• Experience building specialized Data Platforms like User Profiling, Risk Control, or Indicator Systems
• Prior experience managing teams of Software or Data Engineers
