Data Engineering Delivery, AI Platform Leader

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a senior data engineering organization across streaming, data platform, machine learning (ML) platform, observability, and governance domains
• Define and deliver target architecture for Kafka, Flink, Spark, lakehouse storage, Delta Lake, or Apache Iceberg
• Transform core banking, payments, and risk data into governed data products with clear ownership and SLAs
• Drive the migration from legacy batch data flows to event-driven data infrastructure supporting AI, fraud detection, and regulatory reporting
• Establish operating mechanisms for roadmap reviews, incident management, data quality scorecards, and cost management
• Manage and develop high-seniority engineering talent through hiring, coaching, and technical leadership
• Define governance controls for PII, PCI, GDPR, encryption, tokenization, and regulatory evidence requirements

Requirements

• 13+ years of experience in data engineering, data platform engineering, or distributed data systems
• 8+ years of experience defining architecture and delivering large-scale data platforms for real-time transaction processing or AI/ML use cases
• 5+ years of experience managing and developing engineering teams
• 8+ years of experience with Kafka, Flink, Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, Delta Lake, or Apache Iceberg
• 6+ years of experience designing data platforms for transaction ledgers, settlement files, and compliance reporting
• 5+ years of experience implementing controls for data privacy, encryption, and lineage in regulated environments
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
• Experience building feature stores and semantic layers for AI and risk teams
• Proven track record of modernizing legacy batch data estates into event-driven architectures
