Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop statistical and ML models for fraud identification, network graphs, risk scorecards, and portfolio management
• Work with structured data to build state-of-the-art data science models
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to capture structured data in required databases
• Partner with DevOps and MLOps to deploy models into production and develop ML pipelines for training, testing, and deployment
• Ensure model training and scoring scale effectively for large data volumes and high user traffic
• Expedite the development lifecycle of various ML models while maintaining controlled throughput and response times

Requirements

• 0-1 years of experience in data science, risk management, quantitative modeling, or financial models
• Proficiency in Python and at least one querying language
• Hands-on experience with frameworks and technologies such as Scikit and Scipy
• Knowledge of databases including MongoDB, Postgres, or SQL
• Experience with AWS cloud technologies
• Strong understanding of the ML model life cycle, including development, training, testing, and monitoring

Preferred Qualifications

• Domain knowledge in financial data, risk, fraud, or quantitative models
• Prior experience working with B2B data and building models for the same
• Experience using classic ML models for credit risk quantification (retail or institutional)
