Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and deployment of enterprise AI applications, including copilots, intelligent assistants, and agentic workflows.
• Define implementation strategies that align AI capabilities with business objectives and user needs.
• Guide teams in designing scalable AI workflows, retrieval systems (RAG), orchestration layers, and tool-calling mechanisms.
• Promote best practices in prompt engineering, observability, model evaluation, and context management.
• Collaborate with clients to identify value-creation opportunities and transform ambiguous needs into technical roadmaps.
• Act as a trusted advisor during discovery sessions and presentations to executive leadership.
• Partner closely with Data Scientists, Architects, and Product teams to ensure high-quality, secure, and maintainable AI implementations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, or Machine Learning.
• 2+ years of experience leading technical teams or managing engineering professionals.
• Proven experience developing and deploying production-grade LLM-powered applications.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, Agentic Workflows, RAG, and tool-calling mechanisms.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Cloud AI services.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering AI solutions within a consulting firm, digital agency, or large enterprise environment.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or workflows for different business units.
• Knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI practices, and data security/privacy issues.
• Familiarity with evaluation frameworks for agentic systems and AI applications.
• Experience working with international and distributed engineering teams.
