Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Understand complex data science problems by discussing requirements with end users to provide effective solutions
• Develop and implement machine learning models to solve specific business challenges
• Mine datasets from various sources to build suitable statistical data models
• Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for large-scale analysis
• Automate reports, dashboards, and business operations to improve efficiency
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and present findings clearly to stakeholders
• Select features and optimize classifiers using advanced machine learning techniques
• Enhance data collection procedures to ensure relevance for analytic systems

Requirements

• 4-6 years of professional experience in data engineering or data science
• Strong proficiency in R, Python, and SQL
• Extensive experience in predictive modeling and machine learning
• Proven expertise in data mining and statistical data modeling
• Ability to integrate multiple sources of information into cohesive datasets
• Strong analytical thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with cloud-based data environments
• Ability to automate processes via macro-enabled tools and data consolidation
